Monthly Wedding Updates: February 2016

Hello there!

I'm really uninspired to blog lately. I'm feeling kind of anxious with my wedding decisions. There were moments that I feel like I made the right decision to get this certain supplier but there were times that made me feel happy that I booked this suppliers. Well, I'm talking about the budget mostly. Sometimes, I feel like the 700 thousand pesos is not enough for us. I just feel stressed thinkinng about the wedding and the budget. Anyway, here's the detailed list of what we had accomplished for the month of February:

  • Finally, we booked the venue. The wedding venue will be at Alpadi Estate. The reason why we chose it because the intimacy and exclusivity feel of the place. At first, I really liked the place but now I'm having second thoughts. The reason why is because I feel it is too small and the fact that the Philippine weather is kind of hot and humid, and it's an outdoor venue. So, I am thinking it might not feel as fresh as I want it to be. Although, the wedding will be on December which is a little bit cold in terms of a tropical country. I was just worried because the fiance perspires too much and I hate, hate heat and humidity. I don't want to turn bridezilla on my wedding because of too much heat. And last, our non-negotiable supplier K by Cunanan, requires a tent if it'll be an outdoor venue. It'll be an additional cost. I just feel like the cons outweighs the pros and I feel like the fiance is not listening whenever I air this out. I'm ranting haha. Anyway, the place is really beautiful and mystical I must say.
  • We booked Woodstock Cinema as our videographer. Yeay! They're like the affordable version of Mayad and Redsheep Cinema in my opinion. I love how they do their craft. Samric Mante of Woodstock also shots for Mayad from time to time. So, we'll get the same quality minus the price. He's also cool to talk with and give us a little idea of how he pictures our wedding. He's just really cool. I think he's one of the best suppliers we have.
  • I finally booked my Hair and Make-up artist!!! I got CJ Jimenez as my make-up artist. A college classmate of mine works for her as a stylist that's how I discovered CJ. I saw her outwork even before I planned to get married. I love how she does her makeup. It really looks bridal yet very glamorous. I just love how she can totally enhance her bride's features without changing the look of the bride. She can do it natural and elegant or glamorous yet soft. She's quite pricy but not intimidating. I haven't tried her makeup skills yet but I'm confident it will end up perfect. I know it's too early to book a makeup artist but nevertheless, she's really big in the wedding industry so I have to rush to get her.
  • We've done our food tasting with K. by Cunanan. It was great although I think we still need another food tasting to really get the menu we would love to have. Just read out the previous blog before this. We can't go back to Manila this May 2016 because of my work pass issues and budget as well. So, I'll have my sister again to help me out. She'll be doing another food tasting for us. I already have a list just have to forward it to my AE Bea of KbyC.
  • We also have our coordinator, Lowell of STF Events. He will also be our emcee for the wedding. I like that he is very proactive in planning the wedding. He replies fast. He'll be the one assigned to book some of my minor suppliers like, lights and sounds, strings, tents, florists, bridal cars, preparation venue, and other minor suppliers we would need.
Anyway, that's all for now. By the way, my ROM wedding is on April 8, 2016. It'll just a simple wedding. And I mean, really, really simple. I'll do my own makeup and just buy a white dress for the occasion. That's all for now. Bye!
